Parish Mini 1 Light Pedestal Light - Black

The Parish Mini is a 450mm black pedestal light with a die-cast aluminium lantern housing and clear glass panels, designed for low walls, gate posts and path edging. A single E27 bulb (sold separately, up to 60W) sits inside the six-panel lantern head, with the clear glass directing light down onto steps or out across planting beds. The IP44 rating protects against rain splash and dust ingress for year-round outdoor use.

Designed for residential driveways, front garden paths and patio borders, the Parish Mini sits at 450mm height — low enough to avoid obstructing sightlines across a garden while providing pool-of-light coverage across a 1.5-2m radius depending on bulb output. The hexagonal base measures 180mm across and mounts onto brick pillars, rendered walls or timber posts using a central fixing point concealed beneath the base plate. The black powder-coated finish resists corrosion in coastal and urban environments.

The die-cast construction gives the fitting a solid 2.8kg weight, making it stable on exposed pillar tops without requiring additional fixings beyond the central mounting bolt. The traditional six-panel lantern style pairs with Victorian, Edwardian and Arts & Crafts architecture, as well as modern builds where a classical accent is wanted. What bulb does the Parish Mini take?

The fitting takes a standard E27 bulb up to 60W. For outdoor use, an LED filament bulb rated 6-10W at 2700K provides warm white light similar to traditional incandescent output while reducing energy costs. Bulbs are sold separately.

Is it suitable for coastal locations?

Yes. The die-cast aluminium body with black powder-coated finish resists salt spray and coastal corrosion. The IP44 rating protects internal components from wind-driven rain. Regular rinsing with fresh water helps maintain the finish in high-salt environments.

How is it mounted?

The hexagonal base plate has a central fixing point that bolts through the base into a brick pillar, rendered wall or timber post. The base conceals the fixing once installed. A suitable outdoor electrical connection must be made inside the mounting surface before fixing the light in place.

Can it be used on a driveway entrance pillar?

Yes. The 450mm height suits brick or rendered gate pillars between 800mm and 1200mm tall. The light pool covers the immediate ground area around the pillar base, making it useful for marking driveway entrances at night.
