Description

The Parish Mini is a black outdoor wall light with a single upward-facing E27 bulb fitting inside a traditional coach lantern frame. The fitting is die-cast from aluminium in the UK and finished with a black powder coating over the metal and clear glass panels on all four sides. The lantern head sits on a short arm extending from a rectangular backplate, projecting 250mm from the wall when mounted.

Designed for porches, front doors, side entrances and garden walls where a traditional aesthetic suits the architecture, the upward orientation casts light onto the underside of the roof hood and reflects back down through the glass, creating a diffused glow rather than direct downward illumination. The IP44 rating protects against rain and dust from any angle, making the fitting suitable for exposed positions under soffits or on exterior walls without overhead cover.

The die-cast aluminium construction resists corrosion better than pressed steel alternatives common in outdoor lighting at this price point, and the 390mm height gives the fitting enough visual presence for doorways without overwhelming narrow wall sections beside windows. The clear glass panels allow the full colour temperature of the chosen bulb to show through, so pairing with a warm-white E27 LED gives a traditional appearance, while a cool-white or daylight LED creates a more contemporary effect from the same fitting.

Elstead Lighting manufactures the Parish range in the UK and backs it with a 10-year warranty covering material and manufacturing defects. The fitting accepts any standard E27 bulb up to 60W, sold separately.

Frequently Asked

What bulb does it take?

The Parish Mini takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K for a traditional outdoor appearance.

Can it be used in fully exposed locations?

Yes. The IP44 rating protects against rain and dust from any angle. The fitting can be mounted on walls without overhead cover, though positioning under a soffit or porch overhang will extend the life of the powder coating by reducing direct UV exposure.

Does the light shine upwards or downwards?

The bulb fitting faces upwards inside the lantern head. Light hits the metal roof hood and reflects back down through the clear glass panels, creating a diffused glow around the fitting rather than a direct downward beam.

What warranty does it carry?

Elstead Lighting provides a 10-year warranty covering material and manufacturing defects. This is significantly longer than the industry-standard 1-2 year warranties on outdoor fittings at similar price points.
