Description

The Parish is a traditional outdoor up wall light built around a die-cast aluminium lantern housing with clear glass panels, finished in black powder coat. The lantern measures 520mm tall and projects 300mm from the wall on an upward-angled bracket, directing light towards the soffit, eaves or upper wall surface. A single E27 bulb (sold separately) sits inside the lantern behind the glass.

Designed for porches, entrance doorways, garage exteriors and covered patios, the Parish casts upward light that emphasises vertical surfaces and architectural details above the fitting. The IP44 rating protects against solid objects larger than 1mm and water splashing from any direction, making the fitting suitable for sheltered outdoor positions exposed to rain and wind. The lantern's clear glass maximises light output without diffusion, so pairing it with a warm-white LED gives brighter illumination than a frosted or amber glass equivalent.

The die-cast aluminium construction resists corrosion better than pressed steel alternatives, and the black powder coat is applied over a pre-treatment layer that prevents moisture reaching the base metal. The lantern body is gasketed where it meets the wall bracket to keep water out of the internal chamber. Manufactured in the UK by Elstead Lighting and covered by a 10-year warranty.
