Description

The Parish is a downward-facing outdoor wall light with a black powder-coated die-cast aluminium frame and a clear glass lantern, manufactured in the UK by Elstead Lighting. The light takes a single E27 bulb up to 60W (sold separately) and is rated IP44 for outdoor use, providing protection against dust ingress and water splashes from any direction.

Designed for front doors, porch entrances, garage walls and courtyard pathways, the Parish directs light downward through the clear glass panels onto the ground immediately below. The 300mm wall projection positions the lantern clear of most rendered or brick façades, reducing the risk of heat staining on painted walls when fitted with traditional incandescent or halogen bulbs. The 480mm height and 230mm width suit standard single-storey porches and two-storey entrance walls where the fitting is mounted 1.8-2.2m above ground level.

The die-cast aluminium construction provides structural rigidity and weather resistance without the weight and maintenance requirements of cast iron. The black powder-coat finish is applied over a zinc-primed base for corrosion resistance in coastal and high-rainfall environments. The clear glass panels are replaceable if damaged, and the top-access lamp holder design allows bulb changes without removing the entire lantern from the wall bracket.
