Description

The Paratebueno is a linear pendant light that hangs a flock of 17 birds from one long, oval black canopy. Each bird is a shade of steel and plastic in a dark nickel-nero finish, wings raised as if caught mid-flight, with a white diffuser tucked beneath its body so the light falls softly downward. The body is black steel, and the fitting measures 148cm long, 26cm wide and 220cm in overall height. Every bird holds its own integrated 3W LED giving 360 lumens of warm 3000K light, so there are no separate bulbs to buy. It is rated IP20, which means indoors and in dry rooms only.

With an overall height of 220cm, this is a pendant for a tall space: a double-height hallway, a stairwell, or a living or dining room with a high ceiling. The birds hang at staggered heights, so the flock looks different from every angle, and the long canopy lets them spread across the room rather than bunch together in one spot. That makes it a natural fit for a long room where a single round pendant would look lost. By day it reads as a piece of sculpture; after dark it gives a gentle, scattered glow that feels calm and welcoming.

The bird shades pair steel with plastic, their dark nickel-nero tone sitting quietly against the black canopy. The light is dimmable, from a bright glow for a dinner party to a soft one late in the evening. There is no switch on the fitting itself: it is switched at the wall. It runs on 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains, with an energy class of E. As a wired mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions are available as a download. Before fitting day, decide where the canopy will sit, with its long side following the length of the room.

Frequently Asked

Can the Paratebueno pendant go in a bathroom or outdoors?

No. It is rated IP20, which means it is for indoor, dry rooms only, so keep it away from bathrooms, outdoor spaces and anywhere damp.

How bright is the Paratebueno pendant?

Each of the 17 birds holds a 3W LED giving 360 lumens, in a warm 3000K that suits living spaces, and the light is dimmable.

How big is this pendant light?

It measures 148cm long and 26cm wide, with an overall height of 220cm, so it suits a hallway, stairwell or room with a high ceiling.

What finish are the bird shades?

The shades are steel and plastic in a dark nickel-nero finish, and they hang from a black steel canopy, which keeps the look crisp and monochrome.

How is the light switched?

It has no switch of its own, so it is switched at the wall, and because it is dimmable the brightness can be set to suit the moment.

Does it need bulbs?

No. Every bird has its own integrated LED, so there are no separate bulbs to buy and nothing to fit into the shades.
