Description

The Paratebueno is a 17 light pendant in a chrome finish. Seventeen bird-shaped shades hang at staggered heights on fine wires from a large round steel canopy. It measures 78cm across and 220cm in overall height, so the birds fall in a loose flock rather than a single tidy line. Each bird holds its own integrated LED of 3W, giving 380lm per light at a warm white 3000K. It is rated IP20, which settles where it belongs: indoors, in a dry room.

We see it at its best over a dining table, where the birds gather above the tabletop and each one adds its own small pool of light. With an overall height of 220cm, it suits a dining room or living room with plenty of headroom, and it gives a tall room something to look at between ceiling and floor. The chrome canopy and clear shades catch the light, so even when it is switched off the pendant draws the eye. It suits a buyer who wants one light to do the work of a whole cluster of pendants, with one canopy on the ceiling instead of several.

The body is steel and the shades are steel and plastic. The LEDs are integrated, so there are no bulbs to buy or change. The light is dimmable, and the pendant has no switch of its own: it is switched at the wall. It runs on 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains and carries an energy class of E. As a wired-in mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download. The packed weight is 26.83KG, so plan on a second pair of hands for unpacking and lifting it into place.
