Description

The Paola is a 2-light wall light with a silver painted metal frame that curves through two looped arms, each supporting a tapered cream fabric shade. An integrated pull-cord switch with a black glass droplet hangs from one of the loops, allowing the light to be turned on and off without needing a separate wall switch. Each arm takes a single E14 bulb, sold separately.

Designed for bedrooms, hallways and living room walls where accessible switching is needed without retrofitting wiring, the Paola suits positions beside a bed, above a hallway console, or flanking a fireplace. The 210mm projection means it sits clear of the wall without dominating narrow corridors, and the 320mm width spans enough wall space to balance a bedside table or narrow console. The pull-cord switch can be removed if the light is wired to an existing wall switch instead.

The silver painted finish on the metal frame has a soft sheen that reads as brushed rather than polished, pairing with both warm and cool-toned interiors. The cream fabric shades diffuse the E14 bulb light into a soft ambient glow without glare, and the black glass droplet on the pull-cord adds visual weight to the switch mechanism. At 0.80kg the fitting is light enough to mount on plasterboard with appropriate fixings.

What bulbs does it take?

The Paola takes two E14 small Edison screw bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair this with 4-6W warm-white LED candle bulbs at 2700K-3000K for a soft ambient light suitable for bedrooms and hallways.

Is the pull-cord switch removable?

Yes. The black glass droplet and pull-cord mechanism can be removed if the light is wired to an existing wall switch instead. The fitting works either way depending on your wiring setup.

Can it be dimmed?

Yes, if you fit dimmable E14 bulbs and the circuit is controlled by a compatible dimmer switch. The pull-cord switch itself does not offer dimming — dimming requires a dimmer on the mains circuit feeding the light.

What fixing is needed for plasterboard walls?

At 0.80kg the Paola is light enough to mount on plasterboard with appropriate cavity fixings such as spring toggles or plasterboard anchors rated to 5kg or above. Solid walls can use standard wall plugs and screws.
