Description

The Paola is a single-arm wall light with a gold-painted metal backplate and curved arm supporting a black fabric shade. An integrated inline switch sits on the cable run below the shade, allowing the light to be turned on and off without touching a wall switch. The fitting accepts one E14 candle bulb (sold separately) and includes an optional amber glass teardrop ornament suspended below the shade on a short chain.

Designed for bedside positions, reading corners and hallway accent lighting, the Paola suits rooms where local control of a decorative wall light is more practical than wiring a separate switch. The 170mm projection from the wall gives clearance for the shade to sit alongside a headboard or armchair without contact, while the 380mm overall height provides directed downlight without glare at seated eye level. The inline switch eliminates the need to reach behind the shade or fumble for a wall switch in the dark.

The gold finish is applied as a painted coating over the metal frame, producing a warm metallic tone without the weight or cost of solid brass. The black fabric shade diffuses light downward and outward while blocking upward spill, concentrating illumination on the area below. The amber glass droplet is detachable — it adds a decorative accent when fitted but can be removed for a simpler profile if preferred. The fitting weighs 0.6kg complete, allowing installation on standard plasterboard with appropriate fixings.

The E14 socket is compatible with LED, halogen or filament candle bulbs.
