Description

The Paola is a single-arm wall light with silver-painted metalwork forming a curved loop that holds a black conical fabric shade and terminates in a teardrop finial. The fitting takes one E14 candle bulb (sold separately) housed inside the black shade, which diffuses the light for ambient rather than task illumination.

Designed for bedside positions, hallways and living room accent lighting, the Paola works as a standalone feature or paired symmetrically either side of a mirror, headboard or fireplace. The 170mm projection from the wall and 380mm overall height suit most residential wall installations without dominating narrow hallways. The fitting mounts to a standard UK back box using the circular backplate concealed behind the oval silver plate visible in the image.

The silver-painted finish on the metalwork provides a cooler alternative to brass or gold tones and pairs comfortably with grey, white and blue interiors. The black fabric shade hides the bulb from direct view and softens the light output, making the Paola suitable for evening use in bedrooms without being too bright. Optional glass droplets (sold separately) can be added to the circular ring on the arm for additional decorative detail, or the light can be left without them for a cleaner profile.

The Paola is dimmable when paired with a compatible E14 dimmable bulb and a trailing-edge dimmer switch. The 0.60kg weight and compact footprint make it straightforward to install on plasterboard or masonry walls without additional support beyond standard wall plugs and screws.

What bulb does it take?

The Paola takes one E14 candle bulb up to the maximum wattage specified on the fitting. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 4-6W and 2700K for bedside or hallway use.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when paired with a dimmable E14 bulb and a compatible trailing-edge dimmer switch. The fitting itself does not include dimming circuitry, so both the bulb and the wall switch must support dimming.

Can the glass droplets be added later?

Yes. The circular ring on the arm is designed to hold optional glass droplets, which are sold separately. The light can be installed without droplets and they can be added at any time without rewiring.

What wall fixings are included?

The Paola includes a circular backplate for mounting to a standard UK back box. Wall plugs and screws for plasterboard or masonry installation are typically included, but check the box contents on delivery.
