Description

The Paola is a single-light wall fitting with a gold-painted metal frame forming a continuous loop that supports a black fabric shade at the top and suspends an amber glass droplet at the bottom. The E14 bulb holder sits inside the shade, directing light upwards through the black fabric to create diffused ambient light against the wall and ceiling.

Designed for bedrooms, living rooms and hallways where ambient rather than task lighting is needed, the Paola works well in pairs flanking a bed headboard, mirror or fireplace. The 170mm projection from the wall places the shade far enough forward to cast light across adjacent wall surfaces without the fitting overwhelming narrow corridors or tight bedside table positions. The droplet is removable, allowing the fitting to be used with or without the decorative element depending on the room's aesthetic.

The gold painted finish on the metal frame gives a warm metallic tone that pairs with both traditional brass fixtures and contemporary warm-toned interiors. The black shade provides contrast and hides the bulb when viewed from below, while the amber droplet adds a subtle decorative accent that catches light without drawing focus. The complete fitting weighs 0.6kg and mounts to a standard UK single-gang back box.

The Paola takes a single E14 small Edison screw bulb, sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED candle bulb between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K for ambient bedroom or living room lighting.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when paired with a dimmable E14 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch on the lighting circuit. The fitting itself does not include dimming electronics.

Can the amber droplet be removed?

Yes. The amber glass droplet hangs from the bottom of the frame loop and can be unclipped if you prefer the fitting without the decorative element.

What wall fixing is required?

The Paola mounts to a standard UK single-gang back box. The 0.6kg weight does not require additional wall anchors beyond the screws into the back box lugs.
