Description

The Panasonic Eneloop BQ-CC55 is a smart battery charger supplied with four AA 2000mAh NiMH rechargeable batteries, designed for UK mains use via a permanently attached UK plug. The charger handles up to four AA or AAA batteries simultaneously, charging two AA batteries in 1.5 hours or a full set of four in 3 hours. Each of the four charging bays operates independently with its own LED indicator showing charge status.

Built around Panasonic's Smart Charge technology, the BQ-CC55 monitors voltage and temperature individually for each battery during the charge cycle, adjusting current to prevent overcharging and overheating. This extends battery lifespan and reduces wasted energy compared to basic timed chargers. The included Eneloop AA batteries are rated for up to 2,100 recharge cycles and arrive pre-charged from the factory, ready to use immediately in remote controls, wireless keyboards, cameras, torches, game controllers and other AA-powered devices.

The charger measures 73mm wide by 106mm deep by 182mm tall including the plug, with a compact white housing that sits on a worktop or shelf without needing a separate power cable. The four-bay layout accepts any combination of AA and AAA batteries (AAA not included), making the charger adaptable as your device mix changes. The 2000mAh capacity of the supplied AA batteries provides approximately 1.5-2x the runtime of typical alkaline AA cells in moderate-drain devices like LED torches and wireless mice.
