Paloma 2 Light Crystal Flush Ceiling Light - Antique Brass

The Paloma is a 330mm crystal flush ceiling light with a hemispherical bowl formed from hundreds of small octagonal faceted crystals set into an antique brass wire frame. The crystals are hand-fitted into the lattice structure, creating a beaded dome that sits against a larger circular brass backplate edged with a beaded trim. Two E14 bulbs (sold separately) inside the crystal hemisphere refract light through the faceted surfaces, dispersing warm illumination across the ceiling and into the room.

Designed for rooms with lower ceilings where a pendant drop would sit too low, the Paloma suits hallways, bedrooms, bathrooms and dining rooms with ceiling heights below 2.4m. The 150mm projection from ceiling to base keeps the fitting compact, while the 330mm diameter provides enough presence for spaces up to 12-14m². The antique brass finish carries a soft, aged patina that pairs well with traditional, Art Deco and warm-toned transitional interiors.

The octagonal crystals are arranged in a grid pattern across the dome, with each crystal secured individually into the brass wirework. This hand-fitted construction means slight variation between pieces is normal. The combined weight of the brass frame and crystal assembly is 1.2kg, requiring a secure ceiling fixing into either a joist or a cavity fixing rated for the load. The fitting is dimmable when paired with dimmable E14 LED or halogen bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch.

What bulbs does it take?

The Paloma takes 2 x E14 small Edison screw bulbs up to 40W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with 4-6W warm-white LED candle bulbs at 2700K for a soft ambient glow through the crystals.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. The 150mm projection makes it suitable for rooms with ceiling heights from 2.2m upwards, where a pendant would hang too low. The flush-to-ceiling mounting keeps headroom clear in hallways and bedrooms.

Is the fitting dimmable?

Yes, when paired with dimmable E14 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. LED bulbs require a trailing-edge dimmer for smooth dimming without flicker.

How is the crystal dome cleaned?

Switch off the mains power before cleaning. Wipe individual crystals gently with a dry microfibre cloth. For more thorough cleaning, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water can be used, but avoid soaking the brass frame or allowing water into the lamp holders.
