Description

The Palma is a 3-light outdoor semi-flush ceiling light built around three overlapping petal-shaped opal white shades arranged on a matt white central mount. Each petal houses a single E27 bulb fitting (bulbs sold separately), and the sculptural form is designed by Santiago Sevillano. The IP44 rating allows the fitting to be installed under covered outdoor areas, porches, verandas, pergolas, where it is protected from direct rain but exposed to occasional moisture.

Indoors, the Palma works as a focal point ceiling light in hallways, kitchens and living spaces where ceiling height is sufficient to clear the 280mm projection. The semi-flush mount sits close to the ceiling, making it suitable for rooms with 2.4-2.7m ceilings where a full pendant would hang too low. The opal white shades diffuse light in all directions, providing ambient illumination rather than focused task light. The 550mm width suits medium to large rooms; a 4m hallway or a 5m kitchen island can accommodate the span without the fitting dominating.

The matt white finish on both the mount and the opal shades gives the fitting a monochromatic presence that pairs cleanly with white, grey and pastel-toned interiors. The Palma takes three E27 (Edison screw) bulbs, sold separately. We suggest pairing this with LED bulbs between 6-10W per socket. Warm white LEDs at 2700-3000K suit residential interiors; cooler 4000K LEDs work for functional spaces.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, provided you use dimmable bulbs and pair them with a compatible dimmer switch. LED bulbs require LED-compatible dimmers. Check your dimmer's specification before purchasing bulbs.
