The Palma is a 457mm outdoor wall lantern with a black powder-coated aluminium frame, four clear glass panels, and a decorative pineapple finial on the roof. Two E14 candle bulbs (sold separately, up to 40W each) sit inside the glass enclosure on a central column, with light radiating through the clear glass in all directions. The IP44 rating protects against moisture ingress, making the lantern suitable for installation on exterior walls, porches, and covered outdoor areas exposed to rain or splashes.

Designed for medium-sized wall spaces on front porches, garage entries, courtyard walls, and patio doorways, the Palma projects 301mm from the wall and sits 254mm wide. The backplate fixes to standard masonry or timber cladding using the two mounting points behind the lantern body. The clear glass allows the filament bulbs to be visible when lit, so pairing with dimmable LED candle bulbs or traditional Edison-style filament bulbs produces the most decorative effect.

What bulbs does the Palma take?

The lantern takes two E14 small Edison screw candle bulbs, up to 40W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs at 4-6W and 2700K for a soft traditional glow, or with decorative filament-style LED candles for visible vintage aesthetics through the clear glass.

Is it suitable for exposed outdoor positions?

The IP44 rating protects against splashes and rain from any direction, making the lantern suitable for covered porches, doorways, and walls under eaves. It is not rated for full immersion or exposure to driving rain on completely unprotected walls. The aluminium and powder-coated finish resist corrosion in typical UK climates.

How far does it project from the wall?

The lantern projects 301mm from the mounting surface to the outermost point of the glass panels. Allow additional clearance if the wall surface has external insulation or cladding that adds depth beyond the structural wall.

Can the glass panels be replaced if damaged?
