Description

The Pallo is a single-arm wall light pairing a frosted opal glass globe with a glossy white capsule-shaped body, joined by a slim brass collar. The globe sits above the white body on a short stem, and the whole fitting projects from the wall on a circular white backplate. A single G9 lamp holder inside the globe takes a bulb up to 33W (sold separately), with the opal glass acting as the diffuser.

At 38cm tall and 18cm in diameter, the Pallo suits bedside positions either side of a double bed, hallway runs at eye level, and living room flanking around a fireplace or artwork. The G9 base accepts modern LED capsules, halogen capsules, or warm-white dimmable LEDs depending on the room's needs. The fitting wires to a standard UK wall feed and projects approximately 18cm from the wall surface.

The body finish is a high-gloss white that reads as ceramic or enamelled metal under direct light, contrasting with the matt-frosted opal of the globe above. The brass collar between the two elements adds a single warm metallic note without committing the fitting to a fully brass aesthetic. The shape borrows from European modernist references — a rounded capsule base supporting a sphere — and pairs cleanly with both Scandinavian and contemporary interiors.

What bulb does the Pallo take?

The fitting takes a single G9 capsule bulb up to 33W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white 3W-4W G9 LED at 2700K-3000K for a soft ambient glow through the opal glass.

Is it suitable for bedside lighting?

Yes. The 38cm height and opal-diffused light suit bedside positions either side of a double or king bed. Mount the backplate at roughly shoulder height when seated upright in bed so the globe sits at reading-light level.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

The Pallo is not supplied with an IP rating in the specification, so it should be treated as an interior fitting only and kept out of bathroom zones. Use IP-rated wall lights for bathroom installation.

How is the opal glass cleaned?

Switch the fitting off at the wall and allow the bulb to cool. Wipe the opal globe with a dry, soft microfibre cloth, or with a barely-damp cloth for marks. Avoid abrasive cleaners or polishes on the gloss white body, as these can dull the finish over time.
