Ovila 9 Light Glass Cluster Pendant Light - Smoked Black & Brandy

The Ovila is a 9-light glass cluster pendant suspending nine ribbed glass globes in alternating smoked black and brandy tones from a polished chrome ceiling canopy. Each globe is mouth-blown with vertical ribbing running from pole to pole, creating a ridged surface that catches and scatters light when the E27 LED bulbs inside are switched on. The canopy measures 86cm in diameter and the globes cascade down to a total drop of 230cm as shipped, adjustable between 140cm and 300cm.

Designed for installation above dining tables, kitchen islands, entrance halls and double-height stairwells, the Ovila functions as both task and decorative lighting. The nine globes hang at staggered heights on individual cables, forming a column rather than a flat cluster. This vertical arrangement suits ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, where the full cascade can be appreciated without the lowest globes dropping below typical head height. The mixed glass tones — warm brandy and cooler smoked black — provide visual depth and allow the pendant to bridge both warm and cool interior palettes.

The ribbed surface on each globe is a product of the mouth-blowing process. As the molten glass is shaped, vertical grooves are pressed into the outer surface, giving each globe a fluted texture that refracts light into linear patterns across ceilings and walls. The smoked black and brandy finishes are achieved by adding metal oxides to the glass melt before blowing, so the colour runs through the entire thickness rather than being surface-applied. The fixture ships with nine 8W LED E27 bulbs at 3000K and is compatible with standard TRIAC and 0-10V dimmer switches for adjustable brightness.

Does the Ovila come with bulbs?

Yes. The pendant ships with nine 8W LED E27 bulbs at 3000K colour temperature. The E27 socket accepts standard Edison screw bulbs if you wish to change the bulb type later.

Is it dimmable?

Yes. The Ovila is compatible with standard TRIAC and 0-10V dimmer switches. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer model and the bulbs installed — the supplied 8W LED bulbs are rated as dimmable.

What ceiling height is required?

The pendant drop is adjustable between 140cm and 300cm. For dining tables or kitchen islands, a ceiling height of 2.7m or above allows the full cascade to hang without the lowest globes dropping below typical head height. In lower rooms the cables can be shortened during installation.

How is the cable length adjusted?

Each of the nine globes hangs on an individual cable that can be shortened or lengthened during installation. The canopy includes gravity toggles that keep the cover flush to the ceiling once the cables are set to the desired heights.
