Description

The Knightsbridge OWALL1WP is a compact outdoor wall light with an integrated photocell sensor that automatically switches the light on at dusk and off at dawn. The cylindrical body is constructed from 201 stainless steel with a white powder-coated finish, housing a single GU10 lamp base (bulb sold separately, up to 20W max). The IP54 rating provides protection against dust ingress and water splashing from any direction, making it suitable for use on external walls exposed to rain.

Designed for porch entrances, garden walls, side passageways and garage exteriors where automatic operation is preferred over manual switching. The 120mm height and 60mm diameter give a compact profile that fits neatly beside doorways or along boundary walls without projecting excessively. The 96mm projection from the wall keeps the fitting clear of masonry but does not obstruct paths or narrow walkways. The downward-facing GU10 socket directs light towards the ground, making it functional for step illumination and path marking rather than wide-area flood lighting.

The photocell sensor sits within the fitting body and responds to ambient light levels, triggering automatically without user input. This removes the need for wiring to a timer or external sensor, simplifying installation to a standard outdoor light circuit terminated at the wall. The clear diffuser below the GU10 socket allows the full beam pattern of the chosen bulb to project without additional tinting or filtering, so bulb choice determines colour temperature and spread. Most users fit a warm-white LED GU10 between 4-7W and 2700K-3000K for domestic applications, or a cool-white LED for commercial or security use.
