Description

The Otto is a 2 light glass wall or semi-flush ceiling light with sculptural frosted white glass panels mounted on a polished chrome backplate. Two G4 halogen capsule bulbs (sold separately) sit behind the curved glass, casting light through the frosted finish to soften the output and create a diffused glow against the wall or ceiling surface.

Designed for hallways, bedrooms and compact living spaces where a conventional pendant would project too far or a flush-mount offers insufficient visual interest, the Otto bridges decorative and functional lighting. The 120mm projection suits walls where space is limited, while the 300mm height gives the fitting enough vertical presence to work as a semi-flush ceiling mount in rooms with ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards. The polished chrome finish pairs with modern, minimalist and contemporary interiors.

The frosted white glass panels have organic curved shapes that differ slightly between individual fittings, giving each Otto its own character when lit. The glass diffuses the light evenly across its surface rather than creating hotspots, and the polished chrome backplate reflects additional light into the room. The fitting is compatible with trailing-edge dimmers, allowing output to be adjusted from full brightness for task lighting down to a softer ambient level for evening use.

The 130mm width keeps the backplate compact enough for narrow wall runs beside doorways or between windows. Two G4 bulbs draw 40W in total, a modest load from the standard 220-240V mains supply, and the 0.75kg weight sits within the limits of most fixing points without added reinforcement.

What bulbs does it take?

The fitting takes two G4 halogen capsule bulbs up to a combined 40W total load. Bulbs are sold separately. G4 LED capsules are not recommended for this fitting. Use halogen only.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when paired with a trailing-edge dimmer. The fitting is compatible with most modern trailing-edge dimmer switches, allowing the light output to be adjusted from full brightness to a softer ambient level.
