Description

The Osiris is a 4-light cluster pendant from Schuller combining black woven metal mesh shades with gold-painted canopy, cable sleeves and shade caps. Four pendants hang from a 580mm circular canopy at varied heights, with two cylindrical shades and two rounded barrel shapes creating asymmetry across the cluster. Each shade is formed from fine-gauge metal mesh in matt black, allowing light from the enclosed bulb to filter through the weave.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and double-height entrance halls, the Osiris requires ceiling heights of 2.5m or above to accommodate the 100cm minimum drop. The cluster canopy spans 580mm, so the fitting works over tables or islands 1.2-1.8m wide without dominating the space. Each pendant's drop is individually adjustable between 100cm and 150cm using the textile-covered cable, allowing the cluster to be configured as a compact group or staggered cascade depending on the room layout and personal preference.

The four included 8W E27 LED bulbs are dimmable when paired with a compatible trailing-edge dimmer, providing control over light output from full task brightness to low ambient glow. The bulbs produce 3,480 lumens combined (870 lumens per bulb) at 2700K warm white. The black mesh diffuses direct glare while the gold-painted cable sleeves and shade caps add warm metallic accents that catch light when the fitting is on. The canopy fixes to the ceiling with gravity toggles that pull the plate flush against plasterboard or solid ceilings without visible fixings.

The matt black and gold combination pairs with industrial schemes using exposed brick or concrete, contemporary interiors with dark joinery, and mid-century setups where brass or gold hardware is already present. The metal mesh construction gives the Osiris a 3.84kg total weight, substantial enough to feel quality-built without requiring reinforced ceiling fixings for standard plasterboard installations.

Are the LED bulbs included?

Yes. The Osiris ships with four 8W E27 LED bulbs rated at 870 lumens each, 2700K warm white. The bulbs are dimmable when used with a compatible trailing-edge dimmer.

What ceiling height is needed?

The minimum drop is 100cm, so ceiling heights of 2.5m or above are recommended to avoid head clearance issues. For dining tables the cluster typically hangs 700-900mm above the surface, which works in rooms with 2.7m ceilings or higher.

Can the individual pendant heights be adjusted?

Yes. Each of the four pendants can be set to a different drop length between 100cm and 150cm by adjusting the textile cable during installation. This allows the cluster to be configured as a tight group or staggered cascade.

How is the canopy fixed to the ceiling?

The 580mm circular canopy uses gravity toggles that pull the plate flush against the ceiling surface. This method works on plasterboard and solid ceilings without visible screw heads, and the toggles are supplied with the fitting.
