Description
The Orvello is a single pendant light built around a 100mm sphere carved from natural travertine, suspended from a slim leather-wrapped cord with a matt black ceiling fixing. A GU10 lamp recessed into the underside of the sphere projects light downward through a circular aperture in the base, leaving the solid stone body unlit and grounded above the beam.
Designed for focused task and accent lighting rather than ambient wash, the Orvello suits installation in clusters above kitchen islands and breakfast bars, in single drops over bedside tables, or in a row above a counter or dressing area. The compact 100mm diameter keeps the visual footprint small, making the pendant practical in galley kitchens, hallways and rooms with limited width where a larger globe would feel overscaled.
Travertine is a sedimentary limestone with naturally occurring pores, fissures and mineral flecks, so each sphere shows a different pattern of surface texture and tonal variation across the light beige stone. The leather cord and black fixing provide a warm, restrained contrast against the stone, pairing comfortably with mid-century, Mediterranean and contemporary minimalist interiors. The GU10 fitting accepts standard mains-voltage spot lamps (sold separately).

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Orvello take?
The pendant takes a single GU10 mains-voltage spot lamp, which sits recessed inside the underside of the travertine sphere. Bulbs are sold separately. A 4-5W LED GU10 in 2700K-3000K warm white pairs well with the natural beige tone of the stone.
Does each sphere look the same?
No. Travertine is a natural stone with characteristic pores, fissures and mineral flecks, so the surface pattern, depth of texture and tonal variation differ between individual pieces. This is a feature of the material, not a defect.
Can multiple Orvellos be hung together?
Yes. The compact 100mm diameter and slim cord suspension make the Orvello well suited to cluster arrangements or rows above kitchen islands and dining counters. Each pendant is a separate fitting and requires its own ceiling outlet or a multi-outlet ceiling plate.
How is the travertine cleaned?
Wipe the sphere with a dry, soft microfibre cloth to remove dust. Travertine is porous, so avoid soaking the stone or using household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners, which can stain or dull the natural surface.
