Description

The Orlix is a 42cm pendant light with a shallow disc-shaped white blown glass diffuser suspended on steel cables from a white painted metal canopy. Three E27 bulbs sit inside the disc, casting light through the blown glass to create even ambient illumination without visible glare or hot spots.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and living room central positions, the Orlix fits rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher. The steel cables include automatic stoppers that allow the pendant to be adjusted during installation, typically positioned 700-900mm above a dining surface or kitchen island depending on ceiling height. The 42cm diameter suits tables for four to six people without overwhelming smaller dining spaces.

The blown glass diffuser gives the pendant a soft, slightly organic profile where the glass is thicker at the centre and thins toward the rim. The white painted metal frame and white glass create a monochrome finish that pairs with neutral, Scandinavian and contemporary interiors. The IP20 rating confirms the pendant is designed for dry indoor locations only.

Frequently Asked

What bulbs does the Orlix take?

The pendant takes three E27 (Edison screw) bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for dining and living room use.

Is the Orlix dimmable?

Yes, the pendant is dimmable when paired with dimmable E27 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. The dimmer must be rated for the total wattage of the three bulbs.

What ceiling height is needed?

The steel cable suspension is adjustable using the automatic stoppers. For a dining table the pendant typically sits 700-900mm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the Orlix is designed for dry indoor locations only and is not suitable for bathrooms, kitchens directly above hobs, or any environment with moisture or steam.
