Description

The Orlix is a 14cm flush ceiling and wall light with a white blown glass diffuser mounted on a white-painted metal base. The fitting takes a single G9 halogen or LED capsule bulb (sold separately) and sits flush against the mounting surface, projecting approximately 8cm from the wall or ceiling once fitted. The diffuser is secured without visible screws, using a twist-lock mechanism against the metal backplate.

Designed for hallways, compact bathrooms, walk-in wardrobes, utility rooms and entrance halls where a low-profile fitting is needed, the Orlix provides general ambient light across a 2-3m space when paired with a typical 3-5W LED G9 bulb. The blown glass diffuser scatters light evenly across the surface, reducing glare and visible bulb filament. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor locations only — it is not suitable for bathroom zones 1-3 or outdoor use.

The white finish on both the metal base and the glass diffuser allows the fitting to blend into white or light-coloured ceilings and walls without creating a visual break. The 14cm diameter is compact enough for installation between joists in typical UK new-build ceilings (400mm centres) without needing joist placement calculations. The G9 fitting is dimmable when paired with a compatible LED G9 bulb and a trailing-edge dimmer module.

How is the glass diffuser removed?

The white blown glass diffuser uses a screwless twist-lock mechanism. Rotate the glass anti-clockwise to release it from the metal backplate, then lift away. To refit, align the glass tabs with the slots on the backplate and rotate clockwise until it locks.
