Description
The Orlena Small is a 150mm alabaster globe table lamp set on a three-leg brushed brass tripod base. The sphere is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, leaving the stone's mineral veining and clouded patterns visible through the wall of the globe. A single G9 lamp inside the sphere lights the alabaster from within, turning the stone itself into the diffuser rather than passing light through a separate shade.
At 200mm tall and 150mm in diameter, the Orlena Small suits side tables, console tables, bedroom dressers and shelving where a larger lamp would dominate. The compact proportions also work well as a paired accent either side of a sofa or bed, where two matching globes balance the visual weight of a larger central piece. The G9 fitting accepts a standard capsule bulb (sold separately) and the cable exits at the rear of the base.
The brushed brass tripod legs taper into rounded feet and lift the sphere clear of the surface, giving the lamp a floating quality despite its solid stone body. Each alabaster globe is cut from a different section of stone, so the veining, translucency and tonal variation differ between individual pieces. Unlit, the sphere reads as a softly marbled white object; lit, the internal structure of the stone becomes visible as warm light passes through the natural mineral patterns.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Orlena Small take?
The lamp uses a single G9 capsule bulb, which is sold separately. A warm-white LED G9 between 2700K and 3000K gives the most natural reading of the alabaster veining, since cooler bulbs can wash out the stone's tonal variation.
Does the alabaster vary between pieces?
Yes. Each globe is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, clouded patterns and translucency differ between individual lamps. This is a feature of the natural material rather than a defect, and means no two Orlena lamps look identical when lit.
How big is it compared to a standard table lamp?
The Orlena Small measures 200mm tall and 150mm in diameter, which is noticeably more compact than a typical bedside table lamp. The small footprint suits side tables, shelves, console tables and dresser tops where a full-size lamp would feel oversized.
How is the alabaster cleaned?
Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe the globe with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the stone and do not use household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners.
