Description
The Orivane is a 680mm alabaster table lamp built around a circular disc of natural Spanish alabaster, held upright inside a slim polished brass ring on a solid rectangular brass base. A brass stem rises from the top of the ring to support a rectangular white PVC shade, finished with a small polished brass ball finial. The lamp takes a single E27 bulb (sold separately).
Designed for console tables, sideboards, bedside tables and dressing tables, the Orivane works in spaces where a sculptural lamp is wanted alongside ambient light. The 400mm shade length gives a wider light spread than a typical cylindrical shade, making it suitable for casting reading-level light over a bedside surface or a hallway console. The 200mm base depth keeps the footprint compact enough for narrower furniture.
Each alabaster disc is cut from natural stone, so the veining, tonal banding and degree of translucency vary between individual lamps. When lit, light passes through the edges of the disc, picking out the mineral patterning within the stone. The polished brass ring and base contrast against the soft matt surface of the alabaster, while the rectangular shade balances the strong circular geometry of the lower section.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Orivane take?
The lamp uses a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. Most users pair it with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K to suit the soft tones of the alabaster and white shade.
Does the alabaster vary between pieces?
Yes. Each disc is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, tonal banding and translucency differ between individual lamps. This is a feature of the natural material, not a defect.
Where does the Orivane suit best?
The 400mm-long rectangular shade gives a wider light spread than a cylindrical shade, so the lamp suits console tables, sideboards, bedside tables and dressing tables. Its 200mm base depth keeps the footprint compact enough for narrower furniture.
How is the alabaster cleaned?
Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the stone and do not use household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners.
