Orion 3 Light LED Bar Pendant Light 24W 3000K - Black & Antique Brass

The Orion is a 1200mm linear bar pendant suspending three matt black conical shades on antique brass stems from a shared black canopy. Each shade houses an integrated 8W LED module producing 590lm at 3000K warm white, totalling 24W and 1770lm across the three heads. The brass interior of each shade reflects warm light downward through a 120° beam angle, making the Orion functional task lighting over kitchen islands, dining tables and breakfast bars.

Designed for installation above worktops and dining surfaces in kitchens with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher, the Orion's 1200mm bar spans a typical island or table length of 1.5-2m. The drop is adjustable between 250mm minimum and 2020mm maximum, allowing the shades to be positioned 700-900mm above the worktop surface depending on the ceiling height and the specific application. The three heads are spaced evenly along the bar and cannot be repositioned.

The matt black powder-coated aluminium shades measure 250mm diameter at their widest point, with antique brass stems adding warmth where the black meets the cable. The brass finish on the interior surfaces bounces the LED light back through the shade opening, concentrating the downward beam while preventing glare when viewed from the side. The fitting weighs 3.25kg fully assembled and mounts to a standard UK ceiling rose via the central black canopy.

Is the Orion dimmable?

No. The integrated LED modules are non-dimmable and operate at fixed output on 220-240V mains. Connecting the fitting to a dimmer switch may cause flickering or damage the LED driver.

What length kitchen island does this suit?

The 1200mm bar length works above kitchen islands or dining tables between 1.5m and 2m long. For longer islands above 2.5m, consider pairing two Orion fittings or choosing a longer multi-head pendant from the Mantra range.

Can the three heads be repositioned along the bar?

No. The three pendant heads are fixed at equal spacing along the 1200mm bar. The drop height is adjustable during installation but the lateral positions of the heads cannot be changed.

What's the recommended height above a worktop?

For kitchen islands and breakfast bars, position the bottom of the shades 700-900mm above the worktop surface. This gives adequate task light without the heads obstructing sightlines across the island.
