Description

The Orinth is a 700mm table lamp built around vertical panels of natural Spanish alabaster held within a slim brass frame, topped with a white drum shade. The stone panels run the full height of the column, with brass uprights and horizontal banding tracing their edges. A single E27 lamp holder sits inside the shade, with the alabaster catching ambient light from the room and from the bulb above.

Sized for console tables, sideboards and bedroom dressers, the lamp's 700mm height suits surfaces between 750mm and 900mm without overpowering the space. The 380mm shade diameter spreads light across a useful reading or task area, while the alabaster column remains visible below the shade as a decorative element in its own right. The square brass base keeps the footprint compact for narrow consoles.

Each alabaster panel is cut from natural stone, so veining patterns, translucency and tonal variation differ between individual lamps. The brass frame uses a warm satin finish that pairs with the pale alabaster rather than competing with it, and the cylindrical PVC shade gives a clean horizontal cap to the vertical stone-and-brass column below. What bulb does the Orinth take?

The lamp uses a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. Most buyers pair it with a warm white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K to complement the alabaster's pale, naturally warm tones.

Is the Orinth dimmable?

The lamp itself does not include a built-in dimmer. Dimming depends on the bulb chosen and the dimmer or smart plug it is paired with. Use a bulb explicitly marked as dimmable if you want to vary the brightness.

Will the alabaster pattern match the photograph?

Each Orinth is built with panels cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, translucency and tonal variation differ between individual lamps. The overall colour and character will be consistent with the listing photograph, but the exact pattern is unique to each piece.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Dust the panels with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For marks, use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water and dry immediately. Avoid household sprays, polishes and any chemical cleaners, which can stain or etch the stone.
