Description

The Oriana is a 2-light crystal wall light built from a cascade of clear glass rods arranged in a tapered profile, gathered at the centre by a polished gold metal band. Two E14 candle bulbs sit behind the rods, casting light through the glass to create a refracted pattern across the wall. The fitting measures 60cm tall by 23cm wide and takes bulbs up to 40W each (sold separately).

The wall light suits hallways, stairwells, dining rooms and living rooms where a vertical decorative fitting works better than a horizontal one. The 60cm height gives the Oriana presence on a feature wall or either side of a fireplace, while the 23cm width keeps the projection from the wall modest enough for narrower hallways. Mount at around 1.5-1.7m from floor level for general room use, or higher in stairwells to clear head height.

The glass rods vary in length to form a pointed lower silhouette and a stepped upper edge, with the polished gold band wrapping the midsection where the lamp holders are concealed. The gold finish is high-shine rather than brushed, so it picks up reflections from the lit bulbs and the glass rods around it. Pair with warm-white E14 candle bulbs (2700K-3000K) to bring out the warmth in the gold and keep the refracted light soft.

What bulbs does the Oriana take?

The wall light takes two E14 (small Edison screw) candle bulbs up to 40W each. Bulbs are sold separately. A warm-white LED candle bulb between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K gives a soft glow that complements the gold finish.

Is it suitable for bathrooms?

The Oriana does not carry a published IP rating and should be treated as an indoor fitting for dry locations. It is not suitable for bathroom zones or any area exposed to moisture.

How far does it project from the wall?

The fitting is 23cm wide. Projection from the wall is shallower than that, making it usable in hallways and on landings where a deeper fitting would obstruct the walkway. Check the Specification tab for the precise projection measurement.

How are the glass rods cleaned?

Switch off the power and let the bulbs cool. Wipe the glass rods with a dry, soft microfibre cloth to remove dust. For fingerprints or marks, use a barely-damp cloth with a small amount of glass cleaner applied to the cloth (not sprayed onto the fitting), and dry immediately.
