Description

The Ordo is an 8cm diameter cylindrical pendant light with a tall fluted clear glass column set between polished chrome canopy and base fittings. An integrated 8W LED inside the glass casts warm 3000K light through the vertical ribbed pattern, which refracts and distributes the beam as it passes through the glass. The chrome fittings top and bottom provide structural terminals for the glass column and match the ceiling canopy.

Designed for high-ceilinged spaces including stairwells, double-height entrance halls and voids above kitchen islands or dining tables, the Ordo offers an adjustable drop from 92.3cm to 384cm. The narrow 8cm diameter prevents the fitting from dominating horizontal sightlines, while the vertical proportions fill ceiling height. The clear glass maximises light transmission, making the fitting suitable where task or ambient light is needed from a suspended source rather than a purely decorative accent.

The vertical fluting on the glass references classical column design without reproducing historical ornament, giving the Ordo a mid-century architectural quality that pairs well with both contemporary and traditional interiors. The Ordo's minimum drop is 92.3cm and maximum is 384cm. It works best in spaces with ceiling heights of 3m or above, particularly stairwells and double-height entrance halls where the vertical proportions can be appreciated. In standard 2.4m ceiling rooms the fitting would hang too low unless the cable is shortened during installation.

Is the LED dimmable?

The integrated 8W LED runs on mains voltage (AC 220-240V) and is not listed as dimmable in the manufacturer's specifications. Attempting to fit a dimmer may cause flicker or damage to the driver. Contact us before installation if dimming is required.

Can the glass column be replaced if damaged?

The fluted glass column is a separate component from the chrome fittings. Replacement glass may be available through Maytoni — contact us with your order details and we can enquire with the manufacturer on your behalf.

What light output does the 8W LED provide?
