Description

The Orbis Extra Large is a 1000mm semi-flush ceiling light built around a continuous ring of natural Spanish alabaster, supported by three brushed brass ceiling mounts. An integrated 30W LED runs through the hollow ring, casting warm 3000K light outward and downward through the stone so the alabaster itself becomes the diffuser. The fitting drops 160mm from the ceiling, keeping it close to the soffit while retaining a sculptural profile.

Sized for larger rooms, the Orbis XL suits open-plan living areas, principal bedrooms, dining rooms and entrance halls with ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards. The 160mm projection makes it a workable option for ceiling lights in low-ceiling rooms where a hanging pendant would intrude on headroom. The three-point brushed brass fixing distributes the load of the solid alabaster ring evenly across the ceiling rather than relying on a single central point.

Each ring is cut and shaped from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, cloudy pockets and tonal variation across the stone differ between individual fittings. When the LED is lit, those veins become visible across the surface as warmer and cooler patches, giving the ring a depth that solid opal glass cannot match. The brushed brass mounts pick up the warm undertone of the 3000K light and pair the fitting with both contemporary and transitional interiors.
