Description
The Orbes is a 15cm globe pendant light combining marbled glass, smoke polycarbonate and a chrome ring detail, suspended from a black circular ceiling rose. The integrated 9W LED inside the globe casts 418lm of warm 3000K light through the layered materials, creating a soft ambient glow with visible depth from the marbled glass texture.
Designed for modern dining tables, kitchen islands, hallways and open-plan living spaces, the pendant suits ceiling heights of 2.4m upwards with an adjustable drop between 30-160cm. The spherical form works as a single pendant over a breakfast bar or in multiples spaced along a dining table. The black ceiling rose and cable contrast against the chrome and glass, anchoring the fitting visually without adding weight.
The globe combines two materials: an outer layer of smoke-tinted polycarbonate and an inner section of marbled glass, separated by the chrome ring that runs horizontally around the equator. The marbled glass shows irregular veining and tonal variation, giving each pendant a different internal pattern when lit. At 1.27kg the pendant is light enough for standard UK ceiling roses without additional support. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations.

Frequently Asked
Is the Orbes dimmable?
The integrated 9W LED is not dimmable. The fitting operates at full brightness on standard 180-240V mains power.
What's the difference between the marbled glass and smoke polycarbonate?
The globe combines two materials: an outer layer of smoke-tinted polycarbonate and an inner section with marbled glass texture. The chrome ring separates the two halves. The marbled glass shows irregular veining that differs between individual pendants.
What ceiling height does it need?
The adjustable drop ranges from 30cm to 160cm. For a dining table or kitchen island, the pendant typically sits 700-800mm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above.
How is the marbled glass cleaned?
Wipe the globe gently with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water. Avoid household sprays or chemical cleaners that can damage the polycarbonate or leave residue on the marbled glass.
