Ora 4 Light Semi-Flush Ceiling Light - Gloss Purple & Chrome

The Ora is a 4-light semi-flush ceiling light built around a sculptural gloss purple ABS shell that folds and curves in a continuous wave form, mounted to a polished chrome canopy. Four E27 bulbs sit behind an opal diffuser inside the purple shell, casting warm 2700K light through the translucent panel and reflecting off the curved gloss surfaces.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Ora projects 270mm below the ceiling and spans 500mm in length, making it suitable for medium-sized living rooms, dining areas, bedrooms and creative studio spaces where a sculptural ceiling fitting can act as a visual anchor. The semi-flush mount minimises headroom intrusion compared to pendant lights while still providing a decorative presence. The dimmable capability allows light levels to be adjusted throughout the day using compatible E27 dimmable bulbs and a trailing-edge dimmer.

The gloss purple finish on the ABS shell provides a high-sheen surface that catches daylight and reflects ambient room light, creating tonal variation across the curved surfaces depending on viewing angle. The polished chrome canopy and fixing hardware provide metallic contrast against the purple and tie into other chrome or nickel finishes in the room. At 1.6kg the fitting is light enough for plasterboard ceilings with standard fixing points.

Is the Ora dimmable?

Yes. The fitting accepts dimmable E27 bulbs and works with a compatible trailing-edge dimmer. The bulbs are not included, so choose dimmable LED bulbs rated for your dimmer type.

What bulbs does it take?

The Ora takes four standard E27 (Edison screw) bulbs up to 15W each, for a total maximum of 60W. CFL lamps are included with the fitting, but most users replace these with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for longer service life and lower running cost.

What ceiling height is needed?

The fitting projects 270mm below the ceiling. In a room with a 2.4m ceiling height this leaves approximately 2.13m of clear headroom underneath, which is acceptable for most residential spaces. Rooms with ceilings below 2.4m may feel cramped with this fitting installed.

Can the purple shell be cleaned?

Yes. The gloss ABS surface can be wiped with a soft microfibre cloth dampened with water. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents, which can dull the gloss finish or damage the plastic over time.
