The Ora is a 4 light semi-flush ceiling light built around four conical gloss black shades mounted on a polished chrome base plate, with opal white diffusers inside each shade casting warm 2700K light. Each shade angles outward on a curved chrome arm, creating a sculptural arrangement 500mm wide and 270mm deep that works as both ambient lighting and a design feature when unlit.

Designed for living rooms, dining areas and bedrooms with ceiling heights of 2.3m or above, the Ora provides directed light into multiple zones of the room rather than a single downward beam. The four E27 sockets (bulbs included) sit behind opal diffusers that soften the light output while the gloss black shades act as reflective surfaces, bouncing light back onto the ceiling and creating layered illumination. The chrome arms and base add metallic accent without dominating the fixture.

The gloss black finish on the shades provides high contrast against white ceilings and pairs cleanly with monochrome, contemporary and mid-century interiors. Does the Ora come with bulbs?

Yes. The Ora includes four CFL lamps. These can be replaced with standard E27 LED, halogen or filament bulbs up to the 60W total power consumption limit (15W per socket). We suggest switching to LED for energy efficiency.

Is it dimmable?

The fitting itself supports dimming, but both the bulbs and the wall dimmer switch must be compatible. Replace the included CFLs with dimmable E27 LED bulbs and pair with a trailing-edge or leading-edge dimmer rated for the total bulb wattage.

What ceiling height does it need?

The 270mm projection from ceiling to lowest point makes the Ora suitable for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.3m or above. In lower ceilings the fitting may feel intrusive or create headroom issues in circulation areas.

How is the gloss black finish maintained?

Wipe the gloss black shades with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For fingerprints or smudges, a barely-damp cloth is acceptable but avoid soaking the chrome joints or allowing water into the lamp sockets. Do not use abrasive cleaners or polishes.
