Description

This opal globe is a dimmable LED bulb with an E27 screw cap, 14cm long and 9.5cm across. The round glass is finished in opal, a milky white that diffuses the light, so instead of a bright point you see the whole ball glow evenly. It draws 7.5W and gives 806lm of warm white light at 2700K, the soft, slightly golden tone most people want in a living room or bedroom. Its IP20 rating settles where it belongs: indoors, in dry rooms, away from splashing water.

Because the whole globe glows, this is a bulb to leave on show rather than hide. It suits a bare pendant over a dining table or kitchen island, an open lamp holder on a wall light, or a table lamp with an open shade, wherever a plain bulb would look unfinished. At 806lm it gives a generous amount of light for a single bulb, and the warm tone keeps a room relaxed in the evening.
