Description

The Omera is a set of four powder-coated steel mounting brackets for recessed downlights, supplied with fixing screws. Each bracket measures 32mm in length and projects 32mm from the mounting surface, forming an L-shaped profile that clamps a downlight body inside a ceiling void or wall cavity. The brackets hook over the rim of compatible downlights and are screwed into the surrounding joists, studs or plasterboard to hold the fitting secure before the ceiling or wall surface is finished.

Designed for use with recessed downlights where the fitting body lacks integrated clips or spring toggles, the Omera brackets suit retrofit installations in existing ceilings and new-build installations where electricians need a universal fixing solution across multiple downlight brands. The steel construction handles the weight of standard LED downlights and halogen fittings without deforming under heat or load. Four brackets allow for two downlights to be mounted using two brackets each, or one larger downlight to be supported on all four corners.

The powder-coated finish resists corrosion in damp ceiling voids above bathrooms and kitchens, while the compact 32mm footprint means the brackets fit into tight joist spacing or shallow ceiling depths where larger clip systems would not. The screws included in the set are self-tapping and suited to timber joists, with the installer responsible for selecting appropriate fixings if mounting into masonry or metal studs.
