Description

The Olivia is an 8-light chandelier built on a 700mm-diameter frame of hand-forged black metal with gold patina accents across the scrolled arms and candle cups. Eight E14 candle bulbs (sold separately) sit in individual metal cups arranged symmetrically around the central column, which features vertical rod detailing rising from the chain suspension to a central ring that anchors the curved arms.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and double-height living spaces with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above, the Olivia provides both ambient and decorative lighting across an area of approximately 12-15m². The adjustable drop ranges from 580mm to 1475mm, allowing the chandelier to be positioned 700-900mm above a dining table or hung higher in a hallway to clear head height. The frame supports optional glass shades on each arm, and a flush-convert system allows the fitting to be adapted to a semi-flush mount for lower ceilings if needed.

Each Olivia is hand-finished by Elstead Lighting, so the distribution of gold patina across the black metalwork varies between pieces depending on where the finish is applied and how it oxidises. The scrolled arms curve outward in a traditional candelabra arrangement, with the gold patina concentrated on the outer edges and raised details of the metalwork to catch light when the chandelier is illuminated. The black and gold combination pairs with both period interiors (Georgian, Victorian, Arts and Crafts) and contemporary schemes using dark accent tones.
