Description

This wooden keepsake box is made to hold a little one's certificate, a long rectangular box in pale sage green with a darker green lid. Across the lid it reads "My Certificate", between a cheerful farmer with his pitchfork, a smiling sun, trees, a fence and a red barn. Along the front, the farmer drives a green tractor pulling a line of small trailers piled with farm animals, among them a pig, a goat, a cow, ducks and hens, beneath the words "Old MacDonald had a farm ee i ee i o". It measures 26.6cm along its length, 7.2cm across and 7.8cm high, so it takes up little room on a shelf.

We think it makes a lovely gift for a baby or toddler up to three years old, a happy home for their certificate that comes with a nursery rhyme many of us sang as children. It sits happily on a nursery shelf, a chest of drawers or a bookcase in a child's bedroom, and its soft greens suit a farm or countryside theme as well as a calm, simple scheme.
