Description

The Olas is a 122cm linear pendant light built from steel and aluminium with a matte black powder-coated finish and a flowing wave-form profile. Three interconnected curved sections stack vertically, each with microprinted methacrylate diffusers edge-lit by integrated CCT LEDs totaling 40W output. The CCT function shifts the colour temperature from 2700K warm white to 5000K cool white, controlled via an included RF remote or TUYA app over Wi-Fi.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and open-plan living areas with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Olas combines sculptural presence with functional task and ambient lighting. The wave profile gives the fitting a three-dimensional form when viewed from below or the side, making it a focal point over rectangular dining tables or long kitchen islands. The adjustable cable suspension allows the fitting to be positioned between 60cm and 120cm below the ceiling rose, setting the light source 600-800mm above a table surface depending on ceiling height.

The microprinted diffusers hide the LED strip from direct view and soften the light output, preventing harsh shadows or glare when seated at table height. The CCT adjustment allows the light to be tuned to warmer tones (2700-3000K) for evening dining or cooler temperatures (4000-5000K) for morning kitchen work, with the RF remote providing dimming control across the full range. TUYA compatibility adds smartphone and voice assistant integration for users with existing smart home setups. The fixture weighs 4.84kg and requires gravity toggles (supplied) for secure ceiling installation in plasterboard or masonry.

The Olas includes an RF remote control that adjusts both dimming and colour temperature from 2700K warm white to 5000K cool white. It also supports TUYA app control via Wi-Fi for smartphone or voice assistant integration.

What table length does this suit?

The 122cm length suits dining tables or kitchen islands between 140cm and 180cm long. For longer tables, consider pairing two Olas fittings in series or choosing a longer linear light from the Schuller range.

Is the LED replaceable?

The LED is integrated into the fitting and is not user-replaceable. The LED lifespan is typically 25,000-30,000 hours (around 15-20 years of domestic use at 4 hours per day).

Can it be fitted to a sloped ceiling?

The cable suspension allows some adjustment for minor slopes, but the fitting is designed for level ceilings. For ceilings sloped beyond 10-15 degrees, consult an electrician before installation to ensure the cables hang vertically and the fitting remains level.
