Description

The Olaia is a 13cm diameter smoked black glass pendant light with an integrated 6W 3000K LED housed inside a cylindrical glass shade. The matt black ceiling canopy sits flush to the ceiling and the shade hangs on a black fabric-covered cable, adjustable between 20cm and 100cm drop. The smoked glass filters the LED light to produce 660lm of warm white output, which is softened further by the tinted glass.

Designed as a compact single pendant for kitchen islands, breakfast bars, hallway zones and side tables where a smaller-scale fitting is needed, the Olaia works individually or as part of a cluster. The 20-100cm adjustable drop allows installation over worktops at 60-70cm clearance or lower over dining surfaces at 70-80cm, depending on ceiling height. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor areas only.

The smoked black glass gives a darker aesthetic when unlit and casts a warm, subdued glow when switched on, reducing glare from the LED. The compact 13cm diameter and 0.6kg weight suit contemporary, minimalist and industrial interiors where clean lines and restrained proportions matter. The GX53 lamp is integrated and non-replaceable, with an expected lifespan of approximately 25,000 hours at typical domestic use patterns.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The 6W GX53 LED is integrated into the fitting and is not user-replaceable. The LED has an expected lifespan of approximately 25,000 hours under typical domestic use, which equates to around 10 years at 6-7 hours per day.

Can this be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is suitable for dry indoor areas only. It is not rated for bathrooms, kitchens directly above sinks, or any location where moisture or steam is present.

How is the drop adjusted?

The pendant cable can be shortened or lengthened during installation to achieve the desired drop between 20cm and 100cm. Once the cable is set and the canopy is fitted to the ceiling rose, the drop is fixed unless the fitting is taken down and re-adjusted.

Can multiple Olaia pendants be installed together?

Yes. The compact 13cm diameter allows multiple Olaia pendants to be clustered over a kitchen island or dining table. Space them 30-40cm apart for balanced coverage without visual crowding.
