Description
The Knightsbridge Odina is an 82mm square fixed downlight in white die-cast aluminium, designed to house a single GU10 bulb (sold separately) up to 10W. The fixed bezel sits 6mm proud of the ceiling surface, giving a clean geometric profile without tilt or rotation adjustment once installed.
Designed for residential, hospitality and light commercial applications where recessed ceiling lighting is needed, the Odina requires a 72mm ceiling cut-out and a minimum 70mm void depth above the plasterboard. The IP20 rating makes it suitable for dry interior spaces including living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and offices, but not for bathrooms or wet zones. The white powder-coated finish blends into white ceilings or provides geometric contrast against darker painted surfaces.
The die-cast aluminium construction provides Class I earthed electrical safety and acts as a heatsink for the GU10 bulb, extending LED lifespan compared to enclosed plastic housings. Dimmability depends on the GU10 bulb you choose — pair it with a dimmable Knightsbridge GU10 LED and a compatible trailing-edge dimmer for variable output. The downlight is compatible with Knightsbridge fire-rated hoods where ceiling fire integrity is needed, though the specific hood model must match the cut-out diameter and fire rating requirements.

Frequently Asked
What ceiling void depth is needed?
The Odina requires a minimum 70mm void depth above the plasterboard for the GU10 lampholder and wiring. The bezel sits 6mm below the ceiling surface once installed, and the 72mm cut-out diameter determines the hole size needed in the plasterboard.
Is this dimmable?
Dimming depends on the GU10 bulb you fit. Pair the Odina with a dimmable Knightsbridge GU10 LED and a compatible trailing-edge dimmer for variable brightness. Non-dimmable GU10 bulbs will operate at full output only.
Can it be used in bathrooms?
No. The IP20 rating makes the Odina suitable only for dry interior spaces. For bathrooms or wet zones, look for downlights rated IP44 or IP65 depending on the zone classification.
What bulb does it take?
The Odina takes a standard GU10 bulb up to 10W, sold separately. Most users pair it with a 5-7W LED GU10 in 3000K or 4000K depending on whether warm or neutral white light is preferred. The die-cast aluminium body acts as a heatsink to extend LED lifespan.
