Description

The Odin is a 155cm reading floor lamp built from a slim brushed brass tubular frame, a downward-facing conical brass shade and a circular white marble base. The shade is fixed at the end of a horizontal cantilever arm, projecting the light source forward of the upright stem so the beam falls cleanly onto the area in front of the lamp rather than down the column itself.

The geometry suits use as a dedicated reading lamp beside an armchair or sofa, or as task lighting next to a bedside table or desk. The forward-projecting cone places the bulb roughly 130-140cm above the floor at seated head height, directing a focused pool of light onto a book, tablet or work surface without lighting the rest of the room. The slim 20cm diameter footprint slots into tight gaps between furniture without crowding the floor.

The brushed brass finish on the metal frame and shade gives a warm gold tone that pairs with both modern and traditional interiors, while the solid white marble base adds visible weight at floor level and counterbalances the cantilevered head. The lamp takes a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. For reading, most users pair it with a warm-white LED between 6-9W and 2700K-3000K. Filament-style E27 bulbs also suit the brass shade visually if a softer, lower-output light is preferred.

Is it suitable for reading next to a chair?

Is the lamp stable?
