Description

The Ocean is a 780mm ceiling fan light with three retractable wood-effect blades housed within a circular LED frame. The integrated 95W LED delivers 4200 lumens with tuneable colour temperature from 2700K warm white to 5000K daylight, controlled via a remote handset. The DC motor drives the blades at variable speeds, also controlled remotely, with the blades retracting flush when the fan is switched off to leave a low-profile circular light fitting.

Designed for living rooms, dining rooms and bedrooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Ocean combines general lighting and air circulation in one fitting. The 360° beam angle provides room-wide light distribution, while the fan provides gentle air movement during summer without the noise of traditional AC motor fans. The tuneable white function allows the colour temperature to shift from warm evening ambience to bright task lighting for daytime reading or working.

The wood-effect finish on the blades pairs with the white LED ring to give a contemporary Scandinavian aesthetic that complements oak, walnut and beech flooring. The total drop from ceiling to the base of the fitting is 220mm, which suits standard ceiling heights without creating head clearance issues. How are the fan and light controlled?

Both the LED and the fan are operated via a remote control handset included with the fitting. The remote adjusts fan speed, light brightness, and colour temperature between 2700K and 5000K. There is no wall switch dimming or speed control. All functions run through the remote.

What happens to the blades when the fan is off?

The blades retract flush into the circular housing when the fan is switched off, leaving a low-profile ceiling light. When the fan is activated, centrifugal force extends the blades outward to their full span.

What ceiling height is needed?

The fitting has a 220mm drop from ceiling to base. For comfortable head clearance the ceiling height should be 2.4m or above. The 780mm blade diameter also requires a clear space of at least 1m radius around the fitting when installed.

Is it noisy?

The DC motor is quieter than traditional AC motor ceiling fans. At low to medium speeds the fan produces minimal noise, making it suitable for bedrooms and living rooms where background noise matters.
