The Ocean is a 780mm ceiling fan light with three retractable timber blades that fold away when the fan is switched off, leaving only the circular LED ring and central motor housing visible. The integrated LED produces 4200lm and can be tuned between warm white (2700K) and daylight (5000K) via the included remote control, which also dims the light and adjusts fan speed across six settings.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher, the Ocean suits living rooms, bedrooms and open-plan kitchen-dining spaces where both cooling airflow and overhead lighting are needed. The DC motor runs quieter than traditional AC fan motors and draws 95W at maximum output combining light and fan. When the fan is off, the timber blades retract into the central housing, reducing the visual bulk to a flat 220mm-high ceiling fixture.

The black powder-coated finish on the outer ring contrasts with the natural wood grain of the three retractable blades, giving the fitting a modern-Scandinavian appearance when the blades are extended and a clean circular profile when retracted. The 360° beam angle from the LED ring directs light both downward and outward, reducing ceiling shadows. Remote control operation eliminates the need for wall switches beyond the mains isolator. The tuneable white function allows the colour temperature to be adjusted to match room use: warmer tones (2700-3000K) for evening relaxation, cooler tones (4000-5000K) for daytime work or kitchen tasks. The remote stores the last settings, so the fan restarts at the same speed and light level when switched on at the wall.

What ceiling height is needed for safe installation?

Minimum ceiling height of 2.4m is recommended. At 220mm installed height plus blade clearance when extended, rooms with lower ceilings may not provide adequate head clearance underneath the fan.

How do the retractable blades work?

When the fan motor stops, centrifugal force releases and the three timber blades fold back into recessed channels in the central housing. When the fan starts, the blades extend outward under centrifugal force. This happens automatically — there is no manual control for blade position.

Is the remote control included?

Yes. The Ocean includes a remote control that operates fan speed (six settings), light dimming, and colour temperature adjustment between 2700K and 5000K. The remote requires a battery (typically CR2032, confirm in the manual).

Can it be installed on a sloped ceiling?

The Ocean is designed for horizontal ceiling installation. Sloped or angled ceilings may affect blade balance and motor performance. Consult a qualified electrician before attempting installation on a non-horizontal surface.
