Oberon 5 Light Crystal Flush Ceiling Light - Polished Chrome

The Oberon is a 450mm flush ceiling light built around a polished chrome circular frame that suspends hundreds of faceted crystal buttons in a cone formation, with a mirrored circular backplate at ceiling level reflecting the crystal below. Five G9 bulb fittings (bulbs sold separately, up to 33W each) sit recessed in the chrome canopy, lighting the crystal from above so each strand refracts light across multiple planes.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.3m or above where a low-profile fitting is needed but decorative impact is still wanted, the Oberon works in entrance halls, bedrooms, dining rooms and living rooms. The 340mm total drop from ceiling to base of the crystal cone means the fitting projects less than a pendant but delivers more presence than a flat flush disc. The mirrored backplate doubles the perceived density of crystal when viewed from below, creating depth without adding physical height.

Each crystal button is individually faceted and strung on fine wire strands, creating a structured cascade rather than a loose drape. The polished chrome finish on the frame and canopy reflects cooler tones, pairing well with greys, whites and blues in contemporary and transitional interiors. The crystal itself catches both natural daylight and artificial light from the G9 bulbs, so the fitting provides visual interest even when switched off. At 2.9kg the Oberon requires secure ceiling fixing into a joist or plasterboard anchor rated for the weight.

Is the Oberon dimmable?

Yes, provided you fit dimmable G9 bulbs and pair them with a compatible dimmer switch. The fitting itself supports dimming, but standard non-dimmable G9 LEDs will not dim and may flicker on a dimmer circuit.

What bulbs does it take?

The Oberon takes five G9 capsule bulbs, up to 33W each (halogen rating). Most users now fit G9 LED bulbs between 3-5W in warm white (2700K-3000K) for energy efficiency. Bulbs are sold separately.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 340mm total drop means the fitting projects further than a standard flush disc. For safe clearance above head height, ceiling heights of 2.3m or above are recommended. Lower ceilings can accommodate the Oberon in bedrooms or dining areas where people are typically seated.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off and allow the fitting to cool. Use a dry microfibre cloth to wipe each crystal strand, working from top to bottom. For more thorough cleaning, individual crystal buttons can be wiped with a barely-damp cloth and distilled water, then dried immediately to avoid water spotting. Do not use chemical sprays or polishes on the crystal or chrome.
