O2 Large 3 Light Semi-Flush Ceiling Light - Polished Chrome

The O2 Large is a 500mm semi-flush ceiling light with three bubble-textured clear glass shades mounted on a polished chrome circular backplate. Each glass shade is moulded with raised circular bubbles on the surface, giving the effect of trapped air in water. The fixture takes three E27 bulbs (sold separately) and sits 210mm below the ceiling once fitted.

Designed for living rooms, dining areas and hallways with standard 2.4m ceiling heights, the O2 provides overhead ambient light without the drop of a pendant. The semi-flush mounting keeps the fixture close to the ceiling while the three glass shades spread light in multiple directions. The 500mm diameter works over dining tables up to 1.8m long or in living rooms of 15-20m². The polished chrome finish reflects light around the ceiling rose and coordinates with modern and contemporary interiors.

The bubble texture on each glass shade breaks up the light source and creates a diffused glow rather than a harsh direct beam. When fitted with warm-white E27 LED bulbs, the textured glass produces soft patterns of light and shadow on the ceiling. The three-shade configuration balances visual impact with a manageable ceiling footprint, making the fixture suitable for rooms where a five-light version would dominate. At 12.3kg, the O2 requires secure fixing to a ceiling joist or a plasterboard anchor rated for the weight.

What bulbs does the O2 take?

The fixture takes three E27 (Edison screw) bulbs, sold separately. Most users fit warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for ambient living room or dining lighting. The maximum wattage depends on the bulb type — check the bulb packaging for compatibility.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, if fitted with dimmable E27 LED bulbs and a compatible LED dimmer switch. Non-dimmable bulbs will work at full brightness only. The dimmer must be rated for LED loads to avoid flickering.

What ceiling height is needed?

The O2 sits 210mm below the ceiling, making it suitable for standard 2.4m ceiling heights. In rooms with 2.2m ceilings, the lowest point of the glass shades will sit around 2m from the floor, which is acceptable for most layouts.

How is the weight supported during installation?

At 12.3kg, the O2 requires a ceiling fixing into a joist or a plasterboard anchor rated for at least 15kg. The backplate has multiple fixing points. If fitting to plasterboard without joist access, use expanding metal anchors or toggle fixings designed for heavy ceiling lights.
