Description

The O2 is a single-light wall fitting with a rippled clear glass shade, polished chrome backplate and arm, and an integrated on/off switch mounted on the backplate. The glass shade sits atop a chrome stem that extends 180mm from the wall, housing a single G9 bulb fitting (bulb sold separately). The rippled surface of the glass refracts light into soft scattered patterns across adjacent walls and ceilings when lit.

Designed for bedside use, hallway accent lighting and reading positions next to an armchair or sofa, the O2 combines ambient and task function with accessible switching. The built-in switch eliminates the need to reach for a pull cord or wall switch, making it practical for bedside tables where the light can be controlled without stretching. The 325mm height and 140mm width suit standard domestic wall heights without dominating the plane.

The rippled glass is formed by casting molten glass into a ribbed mould, creating the bubble-like texture across the shade surface. This scatters light in multiple directions rather than projecting a single beam, softening the output and reducing glare when the lamp is viewed from below. The polished chrome finish on the backplate and arm reflects ambient room light during the day, integrating the fitting into neutral, cool-toned and metallic interiors. The G9 socket accepts any standard G9 capsule bulb up to the rated wattage, and is dimmable when paired with a dimmable G9 LED and a compatible wall dimmer.

Is the O2 dimmable?

The fitting itself is dimmable-compatible. Dimming requires a dimmable G9 LED bulb and a compatible wall dimmer switch on the circuit. Not all G9 LEDs dim smoothly, so check bulb specifications before pairing with a dimmer.

What bulb does it take?

The O2 takes a standard G9 capsule bulb. G9 bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a 3-5W warm white LED G9 for bedside or reading use.

How is the switch operated?

The switch is integrated into the polished chrome backplate. It is a rocker or toggle type that can be operated by hand without reaching for a separate wall switch, making it practical for bedside installation.

Can it be installed on a sloped ceiling or angled wall?

The O2 is designed for vertical wall mounting. The backplate sits flat against the wall and the arm extends horizontally. Installation on sloped or angled surfaces is not recommended as the glass shade orientation cannot be adjusted.
