Nyla 5 Light Glass Crystal Flush Ceiling Light - Polished Chrome

The Nyla is a 400mm square flush ceiling light combining a curved frosted glass canopy with a central waterfall of Asfour crystal droplets, mounted on a polished chrome frame. Five E14 bulbs sit behind the frosted glass (bulbs sold separately), casting diffused light upward through the glass and downward through the crystal strands. The glass curves gently toward the ceiling at the edges, creating a concave shape that adds depth while keeping the overall 250mm projection suitable for rooms with standard 2.4m ceiling heights.

Designed for bedrooms, hallways and living rooms where a flush or semi-flush fitting is needed but decorative impact is still wanted, the Nyla pairs ambient function with crystal detail. The frosted glass provides the primary light diffusion, softening the bulb glow and reducing glare, while the crystal strands add visual interest and reflect light back into the room. The polished chrome frame and mounting plate integrate with modern, contemporary and transitional interiors where metal finishes are used across door furniture, light switches and other fittings.

The crystal strands are Asfour-cut lead crystal, a higher-grade crystal specification than standard K9 glass, giving sharper facets and better light refraction. The 400mm footprint suits rooms from 10-16m² (small bedrooms, hallways, bathrooms with sufficient ceiling height). The fitting is compatible with dimmable E14 LED bulbs when paired with a compatible dimmer switch, allowing light levels to be adjusted for different times of day.

What bulbs does the Nyla take?

The fitting takes five E14 small Edison screw bulbs, with a maximum wattage of 60W per bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with 4-6W warm-white LED E14 candle bulbs at 2700K-3000K to achieve soft ambient light without excessive heat buildup behind the glass.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. The 250mm projection from ceiling to base of crystal strands makes the Nyla suitable for standard 2.4m ceiling heights. The flush/semi-flush design keeps head clearance comfortable in bedrooms and hallways where pendant lights would hang too low.

Can it be dimmed?

The fitting itself is dimmable-compatible. To achieve dimming, use dimmable E14 LED bulbs and pair with a compatible LED dimmer switch. Non-dimmable bulbs will not respond to a dimmer and may flicker or fail prematurely.

How is the crystal cleaned?

The Asfour crystal strands can be wiped gently with a dry microfibre cloth while the light is switched off and cool. For heavier dust buildup, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water works, but avoid soaking the crystal or using household glass cleaners which can leave residue on the facets.
