Description

The Nuance is an adjustable LED wall light built around a cylindrical matt black aluminium body with an integrated 4W 3000K LED light source. A brushed gold metal rod extends from the centre of the cylinder and acts as both a visual accent and a physical control, allowing the light head to rotate and tilt to direct illumination where it's needed.

Designed for bedside reading, home office task lighting, and hallway accent positions, the Nuance sits 10cm from the wall when mounted and projects a focused beam that can be angled to avoid glare or direct light onto a specific surface. The rotational control gives flexibility without needing switches or complex wiring — rotate the rod to move the light head through approximately 180 degrees of travel. The matt black finish absorbs ambient light during the day and the brushed gold rod adds warmth without the high reflectivity of polished brass.

The aluminium construction keeps the fitting to a manageable weight for plasterboard fixing with suitable cavity anchors, while the 10cm diameter body provides enough internal volume to dissipate LED heat without needing external cooling fins. The IP20 rating limits the Nuance to dry interior spaces — bedrooms, living rooms, studies and hallways rather than bathrooms or outdoor use. The 3000K colour temperature delivers warm white light comparable to a traditional incandescent bulb.

Frequently Asked

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The 4W LED is integrated into the fitting and not user-replaceable. The LED has a rated lifespan of approximately 25,000 hours, which equates to around 11 years of use at 6 hours per day.

Can it be used as bedside reading light?

Yes. The adjustable head allows the light to be directed onto a book or tablet while minimising spill onto a sleeping partner. Mount it 120-150cm above mattress height for comfortable reading positions in bed.

What fixing method is required?

The wall plate fixes to the wall with screws. For solid walls use plugs and screws; for plasterboard walls use cavity anchors or toggle fixings rated for the weight of the fitting. The aluminium construction is light enough for standard plasterboard fixings when properly installed.

Is it dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer switch model and is not guaranteed with all types. The specification does not explicitly confirm dimming capability — contact us before pairing with a dimmer to verify compatibility.
