Description

The Nuance is a 10cm diameter wall light with a rotating head that adjusts using a metal control rod extending from the cylindrical aluminium body. An integrated 4W LED at 3000K sits inside the movable head, allowing the light to be redirected across approximately 180 degrees of travel without touching the hot lamp housing directly.

Designed as directional task lighting rather than ambient wash, the Nuance suits bedside reading positions, hallway accent lighting, and home office desk walls where light needs to be aimed at a specific surface. The control rod locks the head at the chosen angle through internal friction rather than a visible screw or clamp, keeping the external profile clean. The matt black aluminium finish absorbs rather than reflects ambient light, so the fitting itself stays visually recessed until switched on.

The compact 10cm diameter and 14cm projection from the wall allow the Nuance to be installed where larger swing-arm reading lights would intrude into circulation space. The IP20 rating limits it to dry indoor zones (living rooms, bedrooms, hallways) rather than bathrooms or outdoor applications. The 4W LED output provides focused task light rather than broad room illumination, so the fitting works best paired with additional ambient sources or installed in multiples along a corridor or gallery wall.

Frequently Asked

How is the head adjusted?

The metal rod extending from the cylindrical body acts as a control lever. Rotating the rod tilts the lamp head through approximately 180 degrees of travel. The head holds position through internal friction rather than a locking screw, so adjustment is tool-free.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is designed for dry indoor zones only. It is not protected against moisture ingress and should not be installed in bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor locations.

Is the LED replaceable?

The 4W LED is integrated into the lamp head. It is not user-replaceable. The LED lifespan is typically 25,000-30,000 hours under normal use, which equates to approximately 10-12 years at 6 hours per day.

What type of light does it produce?

The 4W output at 3000K produces warm white focused task light rather than broad ambient wash. The fitting is designed to direct light onto a specific surface (a book, a desk, a mirror) rather than illuminate an entire room.
