Description

The Nostalgia is a 2-light wall light built around an asymmetrical black metal frame with brushed gold accents at the terminals and mounting points. Two frosted blown glass globes sit at offset heights on horizontal arms extending from a vertical central spine, each globe housing an E14 bulb rated up to 40W (bulbs sold separately). The black frame sections are matt-finished to minimise reflections, while the gold details pick up ambient light without dominating the design.

Designed for hallways, living room feature walls, and bedroom positions where a traditional bedside lamp would otherwise sit, the Nostalgia provides task and accent lighting without needing floor space. The 44cm horizontal span and 42cm vertical height give the fitting presence on a wall without overwhelming narrower hallways or alcoves. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor zones, making it suitable for general living areas but not bathrooms or outdoor-covered positions.

The frosted glass globes diffuse light evenly in all directions, softening shadows and reducing glare compared to exposed filament bulbs. The metal construction — steel frame with brass-tone plated terminals — supports the weight of the glass without visible flex when fitted to a solid wall. What bulbs does the Nostalgia take?

The fitting takes two E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs, each rated up to 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED E14 bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K for ambient lighting in living spaces.

Can it be installed in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting has no protection against moisture ingress and must only be used in dry indoor zones. Bathrooms require IP44 or higher for zones 1-3.

How far does it project from the wall?

The fitting projects approximately 17.5cm from the wall at its furthest point (the front edge of the globes), measured from the mounting backplate to the outer surface of the frosted glass.

Is the black finish matt or gloss?

The black metal frame sections are matt-finished to reduce reflections under room lighting. The gold accents at the terminals and mounting points have a brushed satin finish rather than a high-polish mirror finish.
