Description

The Norma is an 18-light glass cluster pendant from Schuller, suspending eighteen individually moulded glass shades in clear, amber and smoked-grey finishes from a 113cm matt-black circular canopy with satin brass trim. Each shade houses an E27 bulb on adjustable-length cables, creating a cascading waterfall effect across a vertical drop that ranges from 150cm minimum to 500cm maximum. The fitting includes eighteen E27 LED 8W dimmable bulbs and a remote control for wireless dimming via TRIAC or 0-10V protocols.

Designed for double-height entrance halls, stairwells and dining rooms with ceiling heights of 3m or above, the Norma creates both ambient light and a structural focal point. The variable cable lengths allow each globe to be positioned at a different height during installation, so the cluster can be tailored to a symmetrical waterfall or an asymmetric composition depending on the architecture. The 113cm canopy diameter suits ceiling areas of approximately 4m x 4m or larger. At 32kg total weight, the fitting requires a secure ceiling joist or reinforced fixing point and gravity toggles to lock the suspension cables into the canopy.

The three glass finishes distribute light differently: clear glass gives a brighter output and shows the LED bulb filament, amber glass casts a warm golden glow, and smoked-grey glass softens the light and provides tonal contrast against the black canopy. The satin brass detail on the canopy rim and suspension cables adds a warm metallic accent without the reflectivity of polished brass. The remote control allows dimming from full brightness to low ambient levels without needing to wire a wall dimmer, which is useful in double-height spaces where a conventional dimmer switch would be difficult to reach from ground level.

Are the LED bulbs included?

Yes. The Norma includes eighteen E27 LED 8W dimmable bulbs. The bulbs are pre-installed in the glass shades on delivery.

What ceiling height is required?

The minimum drop is 150cm and the maximum is 500cm, so the fitting needs a ceiling height of at least 3m to avoid the lowest shades hanging below head height. For double-height halls and stairwells with 4-6m ceilings the Norma works particularly well as the full vertical cascade can be appreciated.

Can the cable lengths be adjusted after installation?

Yes. Each of the eighteen cables can be shortened or lengthened during installation by adjusting the gravity toggles that lock the cable into the canopy. Once locked, the cables stay at the set length. If you need to change the arrangement later, the toggles can be released and repositioned.

How is the remote control powered?

The remote typically uses a standard coin-cell or AAA battery. Check the packaging or the included manual for the specific battery type and replacement instructions.
